hi @User: since chats can have users from different companies, you'll definitely need some sort of link between the chat and the companies in it. Your current solution is fairly elegant. You could also directly add companies to a chat, although then you'd need to do two writes when a member gets added. You could also have an intermediate type, like

chatuser

, that links a chat to a user, and then you can place the company on that, if you like
