I happen to load test gRPC vs HTTP APIs (specifically Check Unary and Lookup Stream APIs) for exposed for spicedb using k6 operator and found somethinng interesting. Everytime, gRPC performed worse (both latency and throughput) than HTTP. Is this a known thing? How can i explain this?
