Since cockroach was designed to scale like billy-o, but people seem to want to stick with the familiar/use the cloud based minimal config approach of e.g. aurora, are there any good stats on performance and administrative cost of running a cockroach cluster vs using e.g. postgres aurora?

I don't have any hard numbers at my fingertips of like performance per dollar, but I can offer some platitudes and say that our pg solution scales better until you hit the single node limit, but that cockroach is more durable and scales beyond the single node limit
